Position Overview Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences invites applications for a Senior Biostatistician in the Department of Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The role supports faculty and projects in the Population and Prevention Sciences (PopQuIS) and the Joint Program in Population and Prevention Sciences (J3PS). The position is exempt, full‑time, and staff‑12 month with a base salary of $81,155, mid‑range $97,671, and max $116,172. Responsibilities Develop valid, reliable analytic plans consistent with study design and conceptual models. Collaborate on epidemiological and statistical analyses, implementing agreed plans. Run advanced programming in SAS, STATA, and R to address research questions. Lead quantitative components of mixed‑methods and evaluation projects across disciplines. Guide and mentor fellows, research staff, and statistical programmers on program development and data analysis. Qualifications PhD in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, social science methods, clinical investigation, or related field. Minimum 3 years experience as a data analyst, statistical programmer, quantitative epidemiologist, or similar role in public health or biostatistics. Experience in an academic medical center environment. High‑level computer literacy, advanced statistical programming skills, and proficiency in SAS and R. Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
