PCE is a full service electro-mechanical repair and diesel repair contractor. PCE has garnered a wealth of extensive experience in successfully executing major system overhauls across numerous ports throughout the world on virtually every class of ship currently in operation. Job Summary for Mid-Level Rigger: Accomplish the set up and repair of rigging in the shop and on site with minimal Supervision. Accomplish the alignment and anchoring of machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensuring the rigging plan is safe prior to executing with minimal Supervision. Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position. Job Requirements and Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Some college, trade school, or technical training preferred. Minimum 2 years of marine and/or shipyard experience. Environmental Factors / Physical Demands: Must be able to perform Essential Functions with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others. Work in a wide variety of environments, conditions, and/or situations including: Small and/or confined spaces. At heights of 20 feet or more. Routinely bending, twisting, kneeling climbing and reaching for 1-12 hours per day. Sitting, standing, and/or walking for 1-12 hours per day. Enduring noise, fumes, dust, and inclement weather. Must be able to lift and carry 1-75lbs throughout the day. Must be able to safely wear a respirator when needed.
