Medical Assistant Instructor Duties Include Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills. Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions. Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum. This is a part‑time position, typically 9‑27 hours per week. Requirements 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements.
