This is a short-haul position, and the driver will be home every night. Responsibilities Maintain a DOT acceptable driving record. Safely load, haul, and unload logs and other company items. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Perform related work as required and directed by their supervisor. Skills Interpersonal Skills Oral Communication Skills Professionalism Drive Class 8 Tractors and Trailers Heavy Machinery Operation Education/Training & Experience High school diploma required; some college preferred. No additional experience required. Certifications/Licenses Class A Driver’s License Acceptable DOT driving record Physical Requirements Walk over hilly or rough terrain periodically. Climb, squat, stoop, and twist to maneuver into and out of equipment. Push or pull logs or other debris out of the way. Drive for 10 or more hours. Lift and carry 40 pounds. Strap down loads.
