Position Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Industrial Hydraulic Mechanic to join our team of experienced professionals specializing in hydraulic system repair and maintenance. In this role, you’ll rebuild, troubleshoot, and service a variety of hydraulic components—including mobile and mill-type cylinders, pumps, motors, and related parts—for both OEM and industrial applications. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in precision work, safety, and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, rebuild, and maintain hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, hoses, valves, and fittings

  • Diagnose hydraulic system issues and execute effective repair solutions

  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure reliable performance

  • Fabricate, assemble, and test hydraulic components and piping systems

  • Read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, and manuals

  • Maintain accurate service and repair records

  • Ensure all work complies with safety and performance standards, including proper lockout/tagout procedures

  • Collaborate with team members and management to resolve issues and improve processes

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Tools & Equipment Used

Manual and powered shop tools, precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks)

Work Attire: Shop uniform provided

Physical Requirements
  • Regular lifting of up to 75 lbs

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

  • Exposure to noise, dust, fluids, chemicals, and moving machinery

Qualifications

Education & Training

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical Certification in hydraulics or mechanics preferred

  • Degree in Engineering Technology a plus

  • Valid Driver’s License required

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of hydraulic cylinder repair and mechanical assembly experience

  • Hands-on experience in a machining, manufacturing, or machine shop environment

  • Familiarity with heavy industrial components

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems

  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, along with precision measuring instruments

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
