We're looking for a strong and inspiring General Manager to lead and empower our team as we continue to grow.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee our dynamic and capable team of AV production professionals. As the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating an environment that encourages independence, initiative, and self-sufficiency. You will be responsible for managing and empowering a team of dedicated staff, helping them grow into proactive, problem-solving team members. This role requires a hands-on leader who can provide oversight, assistance, and strategic guidance while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Empowerment : Manage, mentor, and support a team, ensuring they feel empowered and confident to take initiative while maintaining a high standard of work.
Hiring & Training : Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of new staff to ensure our team remains highly skilled, knowledgeable, and ready to meet client needs.
Policy & Process Management : Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to streamline operations, ensure consistency, and enhance the overall performance of the company.
Cross-Department Collaboration : Facilitate seamless communication between the operations, admin, finance, and installation departments, ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
Proposal Development & Contract Management : Lead the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring accurate and transparent content. Create compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts that align with client expectations and company standards.
Continuous Improvement : Identify areas of improvement within processes and workflows, providing ongoing feedback and strategies to increase team efficiency, autonomy, and morale.
Proposal Development & Contract Management : Lead the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, ensuring accurate and transparent content. Create compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts that align with client expectations and company standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in management, particularly within the AV production or related industry.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on empowering and developing team members.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with various departments.
Experience in hiring, training, and managing staff in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, especially when working on proposals, contracts, and client communications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with AV production workflows and an understanding of AV technology is a plus.
