Frac/Production Chemical and Service Manager 19 June 2025 The Frac Chemical and Service Manager is responsible for growing CIP’s Frac/Production chemical and service business unit. This position will be overseeing the selection, application, and management of chemical treatments used in hydraulic fracturing operations and produced water management within the oil and gas industry. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant practices in the handling of chemicals and produced water. Key Responsibilities Grow CIP’s Frac/Production Business: Bring on new accounts Have a blank canvas to start and grow CIP’s Frac/Production Business Unit Chemical Management: Select, formulate, and procure chemicals for hydraulic fracturing and produced water treatment. Ensure all chemicals meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Technical Support: Provide expert guidance on chemical applications to field operations and troubleshoot operational issues. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize chemical usage for specific geological conditions. Safety and Compliance: Develop and implement safety protocols related to chemical handling and usage. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure adherence to safety standards. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, environmental, and engineering teams to develop integrated water management strategies. Foster effective communication between departments to facilitate smooth operational workflows. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of chemicals, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficacy. Coordinate with third‑party laboratories for testing and data analysis. Cost Management: Manage budgets related to chemical procurement and service contracts, seeking cost‑effective solutions. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations regarding chemical use and produced water management. Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Training and Development: Provide training to field personnel on safe chemical handling and environmental practices. Develop training materials and programs to enhance team skills and knowledge. Research and Development: Participate in R&D efforts to identify innovative chemical products and technologies that enhance fracking and produced water treatment processes. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, incidents, and compliance activities. Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in chemical management within the oil and gas industry. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to chemical use and environmental protection. Proficient in data analysis and performance monitoring tools. Safety‑First Mindset: Prioritize safety in all operations and foster a culture of safety within the team. Technical Expertise: Possess in‑depth knowledge of chemical applications in hydraulic fracturing and produced water treatment. Team Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross‑functional teams to achieve operational goals. Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to changing operational demands and industry trends. This role is integral to ensuring that hydraulic fracturing and produced water management processes are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.
