Position Overview

As a Professional Security Officer , you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our clients, their properties, and all personnel on site. Officers are expected to be familiar with site-specific policies and procedures, respond appropriately to emergencies, and consistently deliver superior customer service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned premises to ensure safety and order
• Report safety concerns such as fire hazards, vandalism, or suspicious activity
• Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access and theft
• Screen individuals for weapons or contraband using approved detection devices
• Enforce site rules and policies; warn or remove individuals causing disturbances
• Maintain accurate incident and daily activity reports using smartphone or computer technology
• Stand and/or walk for extended periods on various surfaces
• Act as a professional representative of Detroit Body Guards Protection Unit at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must pass a background check
• Possess a valid CPL or LTCH within the state of Michigan
• Have a Purchase Permit for your work firearm
• Demonstrate sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to observe, assess, and respond appropriately to situations
• Attention to detail and willingness to enforce safety procedures
• Capable of handling crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Reliable private transportation required
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer Service Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

• Locations: Various sites in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, MI
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
